Customize Outlook Today and Internet Explorer Cumulative Patch

I have been wondering why Customize Outlook Today no longer works, now I know why.

What I need to know is what Microsoft plans to do about it; I haven't verified this since I am not writing this blog on a PC with Outlook 2000 installed, but it appears that enabling Customize Outlook Today via the registry can disable the vulnerability the patch is meant to protect!
